1 Hour Treatment Session

Service Description

Information gleaned from the assessment will be used to create a treatment approach geared toward each client’s unique social and emotional communication needs. Some of the areas explored and treated include challenges in: a. Self-awareness b. Deep thinking c. Social anxiety d. Perfectionism e. Perspective taking and empathy f. Communication and listening strategies g. Regulating behavior h. Changing behaviors and habits to promote favorable impressions i. Conversation and face-to-face interactions j. Reading nuance and making inferences k. Handling transitions — be it from one class to another, to adulthood, or into the workforce l. Planning and Organizing When the student is underage, sessions are reviewed with the parent(s)/guardian, who are encouraged to promote therapy goals and are given vocabulary and strategies to use at home.
