1.5 Hour Assessment

Service Description

The goal of assessment is to determine the best therapeutic approach for a learning-challenged client who has difficulty with social and emotional communication. An assessment can include evaluating: a. Self-awareness b. Understanding the point of view/perspective of others c. Executive functioning including organizing and planning d. Language comprehension — both auditory and reading e. Verbal and written expression f. Impulsiveness and ability to self-regulate g. Level of social anxiety h. Desire to learn and make social behavior changes i. The assessment is informal and runs an hour, followed by a half-hour review with the client or parent(s)/guardian in the case of a child j. Parent review K. Reading all professional reports and evaluations, including neuropsych reports Assessments are completed in person or via video conferencing.
